Havas Worldwide, looking to bolster its recruitment, evaluation and training efforts—a core focus of new global CEO Andrew Benett—has added a chief talent officer for North America.
Julieann Vukovich most recently was director of human resources at Cramer-Krasselt in Chicago, where she spent seven years. Before that, she held a similar role at EnergyBDDO, also in Chicago.
At Havas Worldwide, Vukovich will be based in the Windy City and report to global talent chief Patti Clifford. Her position is new and will enable the New York-based Clifford to expand her efforts in regions outside the U.S., according to Benett.
Benett hired Clifford, whose background is mainly in financial services, in his previous job as global CEO of Arnold, another unit of parent company Havas. She followed him to Havas Worldwide when Benett became global president of the agency in January 2013. And now that Benett has replaced David Jones as chief executive, she's a key player in his management team.
In contrast to Clifford, Vukovich is an agency veteran who has worked in the industry since the early 1990s. "You need a balance," explained Benett. "That's what we're trying to do is have this balance inside and outside" the ad world.
Vukovich, who starts next week, will oversee talent efforts across more than a dozen offices of Havas Worldwide and its subsidiaries in the U.S. and Canada, which collectively employ more than 2,500 staffers. The agency's global headcount is around 10,000.
