
Adam Pincus, a longtime leader in branded content development at MediaCom, has assumed a new role at GroupM Entertainment under CEO Peter Tortorici.
In his new job, Pincus becomes evp of programming and production for North America. The position is new and puts Pincus in charge of creating programming for TV and digital properties that GroupM Entertainment invests in.
In a statement, Tortorici described Pincus as a "seasoned entertainment executive with all the skills necessary to make a valuable contribution to our division as we continue to grow and develop new opportunities for our clients."
At MediaCom, Pincus was a managing partner and director of the agency's branded content arm, MediaCom Beyond Advertising. He joined MediaCom in early 2008 and helped craft content for the likes of Audi, Shell, LVMH and Volkswagen. Earlier in his career, he ran a production company called Hour One.
Pincus' appointment comes two weeks after MediaCom named its first global head of MediaCom Beyond Advertising. James Morris, who had overseen the unit in Europe, Middle East and Africa, now leads the operation globally.
